Sexual Trafficking

Sexual trafficking, which includes sex trafficking, is a severe public health threat that harms the welfare of people, families, communities, and the entire country. It happens when a trafficker uses coercion or fraud to force a person to engage in commercial sex.

It entails forcing an adult to perform commercial sex acts through the use of  force, compulsion, or deception. However, even when there is no coercion, deception, or force used, any commercial intercourse with a minor is still seen as trafficking. Human traffickers frequently prey on those who are weak, poor, living in dangerous conditions, or looking for a better life. Victims can originate from any background and get stuck in a variety of settings.

Sex trafficking can be avoided. If we build more awareness on dangers and consequences of sexual trafficking in our communities I believe it will reduce.

I recommend for every government to give equal job opportunity and more tougher laws must be enacted to make it harder for traffickers to abduct victims.
